National projects

 

 

Process Heat, Dansk Eternit (Cembrit) (1998 – 2003)

Analysis of heat production and consumption of process and room heating plants in combination with production of eternit roof tiles. Change from steam to district heating.    

 

Optimization of industrial drying, AKV Langholt (1998 - )

Installation of frequency controlled valves for operation of air flow did reduce the electricity consumption significantly. Potato starch production. 


 

Energy efficient operation of brick yards (1998 - )

Industry survey of energy consumption for brick yards with annual benchmarking for more energy efficient operation.

 

Energy efficient process exhaust ventilation, research projects (2002 - 2009)

Analysis and efficiency improvement of process exhaust ventilation for machining in wood, plastic and metal. 

 

Cost reductions up to 50%, simple repayment of 2 years and improved wood chips collection for more than 95%. The project is continued with barrier study of the inclination to implementation  and the conditions in the timber industry.

 

Energy screening for Akzo Nobel, Phase 1 (2008), Phase 2 (2009 -)
Energy screening including a detailed study of potential electricity savings for the Danish salt company.

Dimensioning and tender of new refrigeration system, Fibertex Aalborg (2009-2010)
Replacement of existing cooling system on an active production line. The study resulted in an optimized design and a subsequent tender.

 


 

International projects

 

 

Emission Reduction for Agropolychim (2005)
The project included the installation of catalytic reduction of dinitrous oxide from nitric acid production. The project generates approx 400,000 tons of CO2 credits annually.

 

Energy screening Fibertex Non-wowen (2006)

The energy screening included a detailed study of the potential energy savings and the development of a plan for the implementation.


 

Combined heat and power plant for Cape Sawmill (2006 -)

The project included feasibility study and design of a new combined heat and power plant based on biomass. The new plant will replace an existing boiler installation.

 

Emission reduction plan for Tianji Chemical Group (2006 - 2008)

The project included the installation of catalytic reduction of dinitrous oxide from nitric acid production. The project generates approx 1,500,000 tons of CO2 credits annually.

 

Energy screening for Akzo Nobel (2008)
The energy screening included a detailed examination of potential savings.

 

Energy audit for Fibertex, Malaysia (2011)

The audit where focused on measurements of the efficiency for the plants equipment to supply the production with process air and cooling. Furthermore, conversion of electrical heating to diesel combustion where investigated.

The result of the audit where an energy savings catalog complete with invenstment needs and payback times.

 

Consultation on a new COOP logistics center with frost- and cooling storage in Norway (2011)

The total compressor power for refrigeration is 3 MW for units based on ammonia and CO2.

Waste heat from the condensers is recovered for hot water production, heating and frost protection tasks.

The project includes engineering consultancy in disciplines ranging from conceptual design, execution, hand over and to operational commissioning.
