Changes at Korsbaek & Partners KS mangement

Korsbaek & Partners KS, consulting engineer firm KS, has with effect from the 1st of January 2011 included engineer Peter Andersen as new partner in the company.

Peter has been with the company for 4 years and in addition to that, he has many years of experience both as construction administrator, operating contractor and consultant in ventilation, air conditioning and technical installations.

The company has exploited the last year's slowdown in construction to focus on development of new specialized areas, and has now for a longer period been busy with these more specialized construction and energy related jobs.

Previously we have developed special skills in fire and safety, offshore consulting and energy consulting. We have now added client design advising within large construction projects, and concept development of ESCO, Energy Service Companies, to the list. Peter has previously, as head of the department for mechanical engineering, contributed in the development of several of the company’s special competencies and his future areas of responsibility will be to continue as head of the mechanical department, with special focus on ESCO. Furthermore, Peter keeps the responsibility of the company's relatively new system - Effective Counseling.

We are in the final stage of trimming our own organization, so we may act optimally in relation to the many different solutions and collaborative constellations, which composes a construction job. The parties involved in the construction have primarily been focusing on the construction phase itself when dealing with efficiency, but the actual planning and design phase is at least as important when we consider the value of in the finished building, and it is especially in this field we want to make a difference.

In the future we will, through interference with our various partners, mainly consultants and architects, but also contractors create new ways of cooperation that can eliminate some of the many issues that often makes the construction industry seems less effective.

Besides Peter Andersen, the company's owners are Johannes Overgaard, John Bo Nielsen and Lars Damgaard.

Korsbaek & Partners KS joins a new strategic collaboration regarding ESCO.

Barrier Study

Korsbaek & Partners KS is conducting a barrier study in the timber industry as part of the Danish Energy program for research and development of efficient energy use, ELFORSK. The study is aimed at energy saving measures for process exhaust ventilation and is funded by ELFORSK and is recommended by the Danish Construction Association and the Tree’s Employers - part of the Confederation of Danish Industry - because they find that the result will be beneficial for the industry.

The purpose of the project is to reveal why several previous studies, that showed savings of up to 50% of the energy consumption when investing in the timber industry’s process exhaust ventilation, not has been implemented so far. The barrier study will identify the reason for this lack of interest and result in a guideline which can assist consultants, contractors, the Danish Construction Association, the Confederation of Danish Industry and other organizations to engage in a dialogue with the operators in the timber industry.

K&P buys CO2 neutral power

As of 01.01.09 will all power consumed by K&P be CO2 neutral as part of the campaign for a better climate.

At the end of July 2008 we will have a new telephone system – it means that all our previous direct phone numbers and cell phone numbers will be terminated.

Changes by 1st October 2007 at Korsbaek & Partners KS

The management of the company in Aalborg has been amended in connection with a planned gradual generational change.

Our long-time employee Lars Damgaard is by 1st January 2007 admitted as a partner in the company with the responsibility for structural engineering. Peter Korsbæk has resigned as owner of the company's by 1st October 2007 but will continue to work in the company until 31st December 2007, when after 25 years in the company Peter quits to enjoy his retirement.

The management of the company will henceforth consist of:

Johannes Overgaard: Managing director responsible for administration, energy, industry and mechanical engineering.

John Bo Nielsen: Responsible for sales and project development

Lars Damgaard: Responsible for structural engineering and development

Meanwhile, Peter Andersen joined as head of the mechanical engineering department.

New company in Fredericia

Our office in Fredericia has been separated into an independent company EnviScan A / S, managed by Kent Christensen. EnviScan will henceforth carry out jobs within: energy, environment and climate projects, primarily abroad.

These changes help future proofing our organization, so that we can continue to provide qualified consultancy to our clients. The tow companies will work closely together on a daily basis and we will continue to carry out jobs for our customers regardless of the location.
